Which is correct how is your studies or how are your studies?

Hello everyone,

Could you tell me if asking "How is studies?" is ok? I mean to ask someone about how they're faring with their studies at the university.

Thanks a lot.  "Studies" is plural. It also needs a determiner - the definite article or a possessive would do.

"How are your studies?" But we need something for the "faring" meaning.
"How are your studies going?"
"How are the studies going?"  Thanks Andygc. I'm absolutely aware of "studies" being plural. I mean, from the colloquial point of view, "Where's my keys?" sounds more than common nowadays. And you often ask people: "How's work?" without determining things, right?

;)

"How's" means both "how is" and "how are". "Work" is, I think, a special case in that it can be used without an article in this context. "How's work?" "How's your work?" "How's the work?" are all possible. "How's studies?" "How's job?" "How's holiday?" "How's family?" etc are not.  Thanks. I'll keep that in mind
